A Quick Look at Some Recent Bespoke Product Projects

Customers regularly ask us to create bespoke products to meet their individual requirements and here we take a look at three such recent projects showing how the final products met the needs of their delighted new owners.

While our authentic rustic homewares are as popular as ever and we get lovely feedback about how the pieces we create work perfectly in their chosen settings, sometimes, if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, then that is where our Bespoke Product Service comes into play.

We look at some recent bespoke product projects, how we worked to meet the needs of our customers.

Bird Box

Our customer was looking for a particular size and style of bird box and they had been unable to find just what they wanted elsewhere and so turned to us to help.

We used a carefully selected sturdy reclaimed wood in order to deliver exactly the look and style required.

Once built to the specifications provided, we applied a mix of stains and protective finishing to ensure the bird box would withstand the often harsh British garden elements.

This rustic, bird box perfectly matched the style and colour scheme of the stunning country garden in which it was to be placed.

Tea Chest

This project was an unusual one in that the product we created had very specific dimensions.

Our customer wanted to store packets of tea and each container had to fit precisely in order to maximise the space within the small tabletop chest.

With a rustic style required, we used a piece of old pine board that was salvaged from a primary school and created a tea chest that fitted the bill perfectly.

We added a loose lid that could be left in place or removed as required and the piece was treated with a delightful, natural polished wax finish for added protection.

Document Crate

Finally for this spotlight, we received a request to create a wooden document crate or holder that would be given as a gift. The sizes needed to reflect the papers that were to be stored within it and the finish was to match an existing piece.

Using reclaimed mill boards, we handcrafted a delightful storage crate that was both sturdy and stylish. With antique style brass cup handles at each end and a reclaimed board base, this piece was precisely what the client wanted.

This rustic, document box crate was an ideal way to store papers and was delivered speedily, ahead of schedule to a delighted customer.
