The unique Garfield Rustic Copper and Wood Shelf Display Storage Unit has been carefully created from reclaimed industrial copper pipe and salvaged mill wood and is ideal for storing and displaying a wide range of items.

With an oiled and waxed finish, these unique rustic wooden storage shelves have lots of room for whatever you want to store or display. As with all products we create, we do not use new materials in our copper home decor. All of our copper pipe is individually reclaimed from industrial installations and as such each piece will have hints of its previous use. This is what gives each item its individual characteristics.

This unique two shelf storage solution could be used for herbs and spices in the kitchen or trinkets and keepsakes in the bedroom, plants or fruit in the dining room, stationery items in the office – indeed, whatever you need to store and display, with two large shelves there’s plenty of space.

It could be used serving cakes and sandwiches for afternoon tea, or for toiletries in the bathroom, or what about make up or jewellery in the dressing room? The usage possibilities of this stunning piece are endless.

Care Guide

• To maintain the initial appearance of the wood, occasional waxing may be required
• We supply our copper products with a hand-polished and lacquered finish to give an attractive appearance. Over time the copper may discolour to give an authentic aged appearance which many people prefer. This darkening of the copper presents a weathered, aged appearance and this is as a result of the oxidisation of the copper.
• To maintain the original polished look of the piece as it is supplied, this can be achieved by carefully polishing with a dry cloth and a product such as Brasso™ to create a delightful polished finish.
• Grease, water and chemicals are the main causes of oxidation or darkening of the copper, so we suggest keeping the piece dry and avoiding handling the copper with bare hands wherever possible.

Installation

• We recommend careful consideration when choosing where to position the piece and if required you can add a set of specialist brass clips in order to fix the copper pipework to a wall to ensure greater stability.
• We advise that the item is not placed under heavy loads and is not subject to high forms of stress as we cannot guarantee what the individual strength or load capacity of each piece will be.
• We recommend heavier items and those requiring wall fixings are installed by more than one person to ensure safe and secure application. A competent tradesperson can assist you or you are more than welcome to contact us for further guidance.
